So as y’all know, I went to the Craig Ferguson show yesterday to see Dominic Monaghan. He is such a sweet guy, I love him to bits. But a certain topic came up and it made me sad about how to dealt with it. The topic of transgenders came up and he called them “girl boys” and “creatures.” As someone who is trans, I found it somewhat offensive. I understand that Craig was the one who brought the subject up and that he pushed the subject and said more offensive things than Dominic did. But I’m still disappointed. Dominic is my idol. I have loved him since the first moment I saw him in The Fellowship of the Ring when I was 12. I literally got obsessed with him. I’ve always dreamed of seeing him, but never in my life did I actually think I would. So when that moment finally came for me to see him, I was so excited. But then that happened and it really did make me sad. I could be over reacting, but it was hurtful and it felt like he didn’t see us as regular human beings like everyone else, but as a form of entertainment and something to gawk at.
My sister and my brother-in-law refuse to believe that Pansexuality is real and they laugh whenever the word is brought up. I’m fed up of it and I hate that they can’t accept that it’s a thing.
I certainly hope so or I’m gonna have a much harder time explaining which shade of queer I am.
